A la Carte Thursday

Written on May 12, 2011

Since it is National Celiac Awareness month and National Food Allergy Week, all of our links today will be supporting these lifestyles!

Check out Gluten-Free Girl where she talks about chickpeas and The Good Bean.

While on the topic of chickpeas…be sure to try this delicious Hummus recipe.

And for those who are lactose-intolerant, be sure to try the Super Fudge Low Fat Brownies in this Meatless Monday article.

Whether you are gluten-free, vegan, dairy-free or just feel like eating healthy, you are sure to find that one of these twelve Spring Salads fits your needs.

At Maggiano’s we have scratch kitchens so if you or anyone you know has an allergy, please come in and ask to speak with the chef. We will be more than happy to whip up a special meal just for you!

  • Stargater

I’d love to see more “secret” recipes on the blog…especially the one for your cookies!

  • Beanpole

I would like lots of recipes and news about any special events.

  • Reiffmd

I would enjoy hearing more about healthy and delicious hormone/pesticide free options on the menu.

  • Joy to Eat

I love indulging in treating myself to this incredible dessert… (thank you for making it better)…
Chocolate Zuccotto Cake Chocolate cake layered with sambuca chocolate mousse, iced with chocolate frosting and dusted with cocoa powderWhat would I enjoy reading and even testing in my own kitchen? Gnocchis with a Pesto Sauce (no added salt except what is already in Parmesan Cheese)

  • Missing Maggiano’s

I used to love Maggiano’s and went there often for special occasions when I lived in Chicago.   I can no longer afford to eat there.  Maybe some cheaper entrees or a specail menu night so the poor in this economy can have dinner out once in awhile?

  • Lillianpyles

I think Maggiano’s has the best EggPlant Parmesan I’ve ever tasted…I lived in New York City for over 30 years and Hollywood for 5.  No restaurant comes close to the taste…quality / flavor and presentation.

I’m a vegetarian, and it’s a pleasure to know there is a restaurant within my reach that satisfiys my hunger.

    Keep up the good work

  • Suse

Glad to see the allergy awareness, as a nurse & allergy sufferer, thank you!
My family does miss your Chicken Cacciatore dish & wish you’d bring it back or create something similar. Thank you, Suse

  • Melinda Fathel
