Bellini Swirl

Written on May 9, 2011

The Bellini cocktail originated in Venice, Italy by Giuseppe Cipriani, founder of Harry’s Bar. The name Bellini comes from an artisit, Giovanni Bellini, because the unique pink color of the cocktail matches the color of the toga of a saint in one of his paintings. Our Bellini Swirl recipe is a twist on a traditional Bellini and is perfect for a refreshing cocktail after work or when you are sitting out on the patio for a day of relaxation. Spring is here and this is a wonderful remedy for any day! Stay tuned for another champagne recipe and a contest this Friday.

INGREDIENTS
¾ oz. Absolut Raspberri
1 oz. Champagne
1 oz. Peach Puree
¾ oz. Chianti

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Fill Martini glass with ice and pour ice into blender.
2. Add ¾ oz. of Absolut Raspberri, 1 oz. Champagne and 1 oz. Peach Puree.
3. Blend.
4. Pour ¾ oz. of Chianti in the martini glass.
5. Pour blended mix carefully into glass and enjoy!

    I
was at Maggiano’s two weeks ago and I tried the Bellini Peach cocktail
drink. I was very good, light and it does have a tasty peach flavor that
make you want more. It is a good drink for spring and summer.

services, good foods and everyone is very nice. I can’t wait to go back

I love Maggiano’s and am always impressed with the new entrees that come out, but have never had a chance to meet any of the chefs. I would be very interested in a blog about the chef’s experience and background at my local Maggiano’s in Cincinnati, Ohio so I feel fike I know who is preparing my families meal and our bi-weekly trips feel more personal. Thank you

Love drink recipes and this one looks fabulous. Only thing I would change about Maggiano’s is the Parmesan cheese. I like shaved or freshly grated cheese.

I took the family to Harry’s last summer in Venice. 18 euros for a Belini. With a bowl of olives. It was worth it. Sort of. I was there in in 1982 when the bartender claimed he served “Papa.” So a few drinks and I was quoting Ernest. It is a claen well lighted place. :)

I love the Buckhead location in Atlanta, I always get the same thing everytime I go. I would love to see ways to lower calories and fat without compromising the taste. I would love to see a question and answer section, something like ask the Chef. Where you can ask specific questions and have them answer by the Chef.

We were recently in for dinner and were given a second pasta meal to take home, a two for one.
I am curious as to how this generous offer began. It was a real shock. We were also given champagne because the waiter overheard we were celebrating my nieces engagement. I always feel like I am among family. Thank you! rrls30@gmail.com

What a great way to connect to those of us who are true followers of this great restaraunt, and to build a new following. I like some of the other ideas of using the blog to share some of Maggiano’s signature recipes and would also like to see postings on upcoming seasonal or limited menu items. One suggestion I would have is to bring back the Balsamic Vinegar and oil for dipping your wonderful bread in. During our last visit about a week ago, we were surprised when our server did not offer us anything to dip our bread in. In visits past our servers have always offered this. Good luck with the blog, we all look forward to your posts.

  • Karynmurph

I’m so happy you shared your bellini recipe. I’ve been searching for a good bellini recipe for awhile. Can’t wait to try it at your restaurant in Orlando when I visit there in a couple weeks.

  • Barbara Conover

Looks delicious- after being in Italy, I will have to try this one. have never been to Maggiano’s but hope to get there soon.

I would like to see the chefs actually prepare some of the items on the video….that way for novice cooks such as myself, I can visualize how the dish, drink or what have you should look like. Just a suggenstion.

I would like to see Maggiano’s offer sampler platters of both pastas and desserts. Maybe just a small sample of 4 or 5 different pasta items on one and 4 or 5 desserts on the other at a reasonable price. I think it would be a good seller for you along with introducing customers to more of your specialties.

  • Mario

    Happy Hour specials!

Would love to have a great sangria recipe! Refreshing in the summer.

     this drink sounds yummy

  • StayCuriousTravel

Blog is a great idea especially if Maggiano’s management will respond to comments or suggestions!
Please include another non-tomato or red sauced classic pasta besides Fettucine Alfredo, because lack of another option makes your great buy 1, take 1 home pasta offer less enticing to groups who can’t or won’t eat cooked tomato ingredients, so please add more pasta options, creamy, pesto, carbonara, aglio, etc…Any chance your family style dinners could be offered to parties of 2 perhaps on slower nights of the week or slower times during serving hours as that would draw in more couples? Also would love some lighter dessert offerings, sorbets, fruit tarts, so some of us wouldn’t have to pass on dessert after a rich or carb heavy meal?Love your servers & we would definitely come much more often if suggestions could be offered perhaps as specials if Maggiano’s doesn’t want to permanently augment menus? Thanks.

  • Biz119

I would like the recipe for the Peach Lemonade with Pomegranate drink from the recent make a wish foundation special menu.

    Thank you!

Could you post the recipe for the regular frozen peach Bellini?  I had two of them last night and they are AMAZING!  Going back Friday night for drinks and appetizers so I can have some more.  These would be great to serve at a party.  Our server said that it is peach puree, wine and something else, but I don’t think there was champagne in it, and definitely no Absolut Raspberri.  I would LOVE to know!
