Have you ever tried something vegan, I love eating at Maggianos but since becoming vegan i just have to order salad and /or the asparagus. Something like a butternut squash ravioli with spinach, I’m sure you could come up w/ something.

Maurine, I’m not vegan, but your suggestion sounds good to me, even!

My DIJL is vegetarian and orders the Fettucini Alfredo.  If you are not a true vegan, this is a delicious dish.

iI cannot wait for the first of each month. My taste buds are raring to sample the new features

I’m confused. Is there pepperoni or pepperoncini in the new fondue? Or both?

  • melissa

She said she’s vegan and that’s why she only can order salad and/or asparagus. Vegans don’t eat dairy products, which indicates she’s a true vegan. I’ll bet anything she’s aware Fettucine Alfredo is on the menu and would order it if she were vegetarian, but she’s not and that’s why she doesn’t.

  • Pdorsey1742

I want to enjoy it all. . .every bit of it!

  • Judith Cibelli

    Sounds great
    Can’t wait to try it!

Wow, Dr. Trish. You never realized fettucine alfredo was on the menu before Maurine suggested it?

  • ObviousShill

BTW, if you’re not a true vegan, there are also many chicken dishes on the menu to choose from. I just got back from Rome and couldn’t wait to make a beeline for Maggiano’s at my local mall. I went with my FYTM.

Also, if she’s not a true vegan, there are many chicken dishes to choose from. I just got back from Rome and couldn’t wait to make a beeline for Maggiano’s at my local mall. I was accompanied by my MSAH.

  • Shill

I know, how did that get past the marketing geniuses?

  • Squirrel

The new dishes sound delicious! Hey how about sending some coupons.

  • Ellen

What about shrimp and cannelini beans or salmon with lentil pilaf?

  • Gladys Tucker

I had a party at Maggianos and they offere me a vegetarian menu.

  • Angie Dadddy

Where did Maurine suggest Fett? I saw butternut squash ravioli w/spinach. Obvious huh?

  • Patray70

All the dishes sound so good, can’t wait to try them.

We eat at Maggianos at least once a week since it is our favorite restaurant.  I would love to see more “normal” monthly desserts that could then be placed on your regular menu.  I would like to make a constructive criticism about the one that you called the chocolate marshmallow torte  in that the marshmallow top was excellent & the chocolate ganash was also excellent as was the graham cracker base & the presentation was good.  However, I felt as though I was eating a can of chocolate frosting & then a jar of marshmallow fluff.  The base was good as was the rest but I don’t believe that it was a true torte, but rather all super sweet dessert toppings. as I said, the taste was excellent, but perhaps you might consider  injecting a not so sweet cake in this dessert to balance it out & cut back on the size of the ( huge) piece of chocolate ganash–that is if you are going to keep it on your regular menu –as I have heard rumored.  Tastes were good–just needs an adjustment!

It’s amazing how tastes vary! I had the same dessert and I thought it was INCREDIBLE!!!!  It was like s’mores on steroids!!!! I shared this dessert with 3 others so our portion size wasn’t so big (but we did order another one, to share, just so we were absolutely sure about the flavours) I think they should keep this one and get rid of the “lemon” cookies…lol. They are seriously lacking, but I guess like everything else…someone likes them or they wouldn’t be on the menu!  Happy Desserts Abound!!!!

Under Little Itsaly Favorites for Spring the title is PEPPERONI Fondue, but underneath ingredient reads PEPPERONCINI.  Which is it?

  • Marie

We like to go here because they take care of our Gluten Free needs.  I’d bet if you ask you’d find them to be very helpful.  They have prepared some of the usual dishes for us, but made substitutions where necessary (no breading or using something different), and given us great options.  Just ask and see what you are offered.

  • Surplus11

Our friend is a vegan.  Last month we all had dinner at the Troy, MI location.  He told the waiter, the chef came out and made him a great vegan plate!  It was not salad.

  • Anonymous

The fondue has pepperoni and pepperoncini in the dish!

    Hi Melissa,
When we title a dish and it has an ingredient listed, like pepperoni in the fondue, we feel it is redundant to list it again below. Hope this helps!

  • Tarbitman

Liked the Menu, but I would love to find Osso Bucco

  • Walt

    AMEN….

What are the prices like at the Maggiano’s in Plano, Tx? (That’s my closest location)

  • Msearsfl

Looking forward to dinner tonight with part of my family; the menu looks great and I am looking forward to the experience.

  • Jayne

Was at the Chevy Chase location last night and had the sautéed shrimp with risotto …… It was delicious! I mean REALLY delicious! I couldn’t decide between two dishes, and our server suggested this one! She was spot on! I wouldn’t mind you sharing this risotto reciepe! BTW, the lemon cookies were the perfect light , fresh dessert for us. We loved them.

  • Chris Hoffmann

Please bring back the Imperial Shrimp, it was my fav by far!!!

  • Alec

I’m not meaning to be mean or anything but pasta isn’t vegan. There are Eggs in pasta. Also, you need to be weary of how they prepare your asparagus, and what type of salad dressing you’re getting. Unless you’re a vegetarian, that’s an entirely different story.

  • Marilyn Brudno

The gnocchi is to DIE for and no other gnocchi I ever try is worthwhile anymore. If only they didn’t start adding sausage to it. (I’m a vegetarian.) Also love the butternut squash ravioli and wish it could be year round. Today’s special dessert – chocolate turtle torte – needs to be on the menu regularly. Best dessert I’ve ever had. Love, love, love Maggiano,s.

  • Mar

I love the food. We need a Maggiano’s on Long Island NY and Cape Coral  Florida please

A lot of pastas you buy at the grocery store actually are vegan, although at Maggionos i know that only the string pastas are vegan so no ravioli even if it had butternut squash instead of cheese :/

  • Kath

The 4 cheese pepperoni fondue is unlike anything I have ever had in my life.  You could make a meal out of the pepperoni fondue and a salad!  It is outstanding!  Is there a recipe available?

  • Leslie

I had the Chocolate Marshmallow Torte today at Maggiano’s.  OMG!!!!!  To die for!
Now I have to figure out how to make that soft ganache that’s in the middle, I can do the marshmallows, but they are a lot of work!  So delicious, my family would love, love, love it.

  • Pam

I agree. I think it is the best thing I have ever eaten.

  • Pam

You could taste both in the dish.
