Written on August 10, 2012

When you are hosting a party, you want to make a good impression. This Fruit Slush Punch is something that will not only make a good impression, but it will be a conversation starter. Be prepared to give out this punch cocktail recipe, because your guests will be sure to inquire.

Fruit Slush Punch Ingredients:
1 Cup white sugar
6 Cups water
Two 3 oz. packages of strawberry flavored gelatin mix
One 46 oz. can of pineapple juice
2/3 Cup lemon juice
1 Quart orange juice
Two 2-liter bottles of lemon-lime soda
Optional fruit for garnish

Cooking Instructions:
In a large (6-8 quart) saucepan, combine water, sugar and strawberry flavored gelatin. Boil for 3 minutes. Stir in pineapple juice, lemon juice, and orange juice. Divide mixture in half, and freeze in 2 separate containers.
When ready to serve, place the frozen contents of one container in a large, 8 quart punch bowl, and stir in 1 bottle of lemon-lime soda until slushy.
Top with sliced fruit if desired.
Repeat with remaining portions as needed and enjoy!

Serves 50 (4 oz servings)

If you are looking for a sugar-free or reduced calorie punch cocktail recipe, try using sugar-free options in place of white sugar, sugar-free gelatin mix, and diet soda. You can also coordinate the punch with your theme’s colors by using different flavors and colors of gelatin mix. Add your favorite vodka or rum to taste for the adults, too.
