New World Italian

Written on July 4, 2013

Available July 4 – September 25*

Happy Independence Day and welcome to our New World Italian features! Thinking about the Mediterranean coast and summertime, lighter options are brought to you from our Chefs.

New World Italian

Our Chicken Caprese is perfected by grilled focaccia, grilled asparagus and fresh Mozzarella. Grilled Shrimp Lemonette offers vibrant colors and packs great flavor with radishes and snap peas. Grilled Salmon Capri (shown above) is served with a tangy yogurt sauce with tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions and fresh herbs. Kalamata olives add a finishing touch on this Mediterranean-inspired fare. The Tuscan Herb Sirloin Medallions feature mushrooms in a bigger way than usual and the herb and sun-dried vinaigrette brings the dish together to make it a little lighter than other steak options on our menu.

Dishes you’ll enjoy on our “New World Italian” menu:

Chicken Caprese
Marinated Grilled Chicken with Heirloom Tomatoes, Black Olive Tapenade and Fresh Herbs topped with Fresh Mozzarella and Balsamic Glaze, served with Grilled Asparagus and Foccacia

Sooo happy to see the return of the Grilled Salmon Capri; I’d wanted to try it earlier this year, but didn’t have the chance. Grazie!

My wife and I were at your Mall area Maggiano’s and our waiter never
mentioned this menu. Your music was so, so loud I could not hear our conversation.
Remember Frankie is long dead, he should be at the background…peaceful
in the bar-area…No one cared to make the music lower? Let’s go back to where
you first began…Customer Service. Large plates loaded with great food, Big joyous smiles, A wonderful place to enjoy a part of one’s day! We left in disappointment and paid for it too…Thank’s

We’ve been eating at Miaggiano’s since it opened..but honestly I feel the quality of your food has dropped significantly..its really disappointing because it use to be one of our places to eat and to bring guests visiting guests from our of town..the place just looks run down and the staff is not what it use to be…Hoping that with enough feedback you listen to the customer and go back to what it use to be. Thank you

We frequently use to eat dinner at Maggiano’s , however I would agree with the other comments that the food is not as good and the service is not what it was. We have switched to Carraba’s

Any particular reason you don’t put your prices on the web menu? Afraid they might scare potential customers away?

I don’t know where your location is, but we frequent the Maggiano’s at the Westshore Mall in Tampa and the food is always delicious and the service is exceptional. In fact, the last time we were there we asked to speak to the manager to compliment him on the food and service.

Maggianos’s pricing is always awesome! This feast is great for summer dining. Thanks for the spread.

My local Maggiano’s has, at times, struggled a bit but I think the food is still very good and service is always great. I do wish the menu descriptions would be more specific on some dishes – I tried something a month or so ago as my “take home” dish, and the menu made no mention of having bell peppers in it, and it was loaded with them. I can’t eat them so I ended up giving it to a co-worker. I did write that as a comment on a survey, and even said that I suppose I should have asked ahead of time since it was a dish new to me; I was very pleasantly surprised to get a response with a gift card for future dining. I also wish they still had “half-size” portions on more of the menu (such as my favorite, Rigatoni D, or some of the appetizers). The Classic Pasta deal of eating one in and getting one to take home is nice, but because we do that most often just to save some $ it gets boring and I miss enjoying my favorite. :-)

  • Phil

I think you have the best food in town. Thanks

  • Dawn

Our family absolutely adore maggianos we first discovered it in Vegas never had food like we live in Newcastle upon Tyne England . We are going to Florida again this August and yes we will be on International drive at maggianos can’t wait we love well worth every penny.

  • Everett

Any chance the pasta with eggplant will come back? Just always loved it!

  • Jean

    How about nutritional info?????!!

  • Al N

I’ll answer that, unless you are used to brown bagging it the prices are well with in the range of a good restaurant, and I am just a customer not an employee

  • Jennifer

I just like to say, I visited this restaurant in San Antonio, TX, (I’m from St Louis, MO) and fell in love with it. I promised to inform my husband about it so that we can spend our anniversary there in August. I just hoped that we get the same kind of service and good food in St Louis that I got in Texas.

  • Diane

The Salmon Capri sounds awesome.l.. can’t wait to try it!
By the way, the prices are always very reasonable.

would really love it if you would open a restaurant in Columbus so I could visit more often

I love our Maggiano’s at West Shore in Tampa! The service is wonderful and I love the “take home” portion. Makes it a really good deal. I was there last month with a bit crowd and we had exceptional service, all the orders were correct and timely, and the food was delicious. I’m hoping my husband will take me there for our upcoming anniversary (we don’t eat out ofter, are retired, and like to get the biggest bang for our buck). Sorry other people around the country didn’t have as enjoyable experience as we have. Thanks, Maggiano’s!

  • maryeileen

    (That should read “big crowd”.)

  • Linda

Can I just say – yum to all the gluten-free options available at this yummy restaurant!! :)

  • Jtbaham

We love maggianos. The only thing is I wish you still had the chicken pesto with linguini and pine nuts. Was my favorite all time dish. Please bring it back.

  • Lynny

Prices have been raised alot!!!! Thats why. Its hard to afford anymore.

  • Gloria Martin

That is so true. They are very reasonable, great prices, great food, grest atmosphere, and last but not least great SERVICE….

  • Mary and John

We always enjoy the food and atmosphere and we are able to make reservations which is not possible at Red Lobster, Olive Garden, etc. Sometimes the noise level is too loud; however, everything else is wonderful!!!! We go to the location in Beechwood, OH, suburb of Cleveland.

Delicious menu looks authentic main entrees dishes meats & seafoods and wines aren’t there paired too or for ideas to pasta’s too on ingredients for ” New World”!

  • Anonymous

This is a national chain, and food costs, rent, etc are different in different places. This isn’t like a local restaurant that only has one location, so I can’t fault them for not having prices, especially when the food is as quality as theirs is.

  • Gina

You have to go to the specific location you would like to visit and look at the menu information on their page in order to see pricing. If you are on the general page, pricing will not be listed because if varies across the country.

  • tom

Chicken Caprese was a big disappointment. Meat was overcooked and hard on the edges. Asparagus was tough and stringy, Faccacia was burned, Meat consisted of about 3 small pieces instead of one solid piece.

I go at least once a month to the location in Austin and I always enjoy the food and the bartenders always make my drinks the way I like it!

  • Cheryl

We love Maggiano’s and we go the Cherry Hall Mall location. The bartenders are fantastic and the music is perfect not too loud, the food and prices are excellent and the food phenonminal….love the place…. Fran and Cheryl

  • Chuck

Very reasonably priced, well worth it just for the atmosphere !!
Many friends have been very satisfied with the entire experience, even the specials that feature an additional entrée to go !! Great place to dine !!

  • james

    so how about posting prices?

  • DMKH

I think for every so many dining experiences at Maggianos, returning customers should get some sort of perk, I.e. % off food bill, coupon where you buy one meal and second meal of equal price, birthday perk- either free meal from selections, etc.
In today’s competitive market and with so many persons squeezed in the economic crunch, offer some perk to your reliable, returning customers.

  • Jerry Eccleston

what hours do you serve lunch?

  • Charlene

Seven members of my family went to Maggiano’s to celebrate a birthday on September 8. I was so disappointed to learn that the Bowtie Aglio was taken off the Classic Pasta list. This was by favorite! Plus, this only leaves dishes with tomato or cream sauces (I eat neither) on the list and available for the “take home” deal. Please reconsider or add a new similar choice on the Classic Pasta list.
