Jeff Mann has been with Maggiano’s for over 18 years and started at our first restaurant in Chicago. Prior to joining Maggiano’s, Jeff started in the restaurant industry as a dishwasher when he was 16. He was influenced by his grandmother at an early age and knew he wanted to become a Chef. After high school, Jeff went to culinary school at Kendall College in Chicago and held a couple of different jobs at other restaurants before Maggiano’s. In 1993, Jeff became the sous chef, then executive sous and was the executive chef by 1996. From there Jeff moved around as the executive chef to many other Maggiano’s locations.
Jeff is now the Research and Development Chef at our headquarters in Dallas, Texas. For the last 3 years, he has been responsible for creating the monthly features and creating new dishes around classic Italian flavors with a modern twist. Jeff’s proudest moment as a chef was in Boca Raton as the executive chef when his restaurant was named Top Restaurant in Boca because they were recognized for their features, even though we are a “chain” restaurant.
